Career Academic Pathways: CA, HM, Credit, .5  1 semester

This course is appropriate for athletes, students who has successfully completed the  Conditioning/Weight training class or students who have experience in Olympic Weight lifting.  This course emphasizes strength, speed and power using functional movement patterns and Olympic style lifting . There is also skill development in explosive, reactive, and quickness movement drills.  Activities develop athletic skill levels and focus on skill-related fitness.

Monday Wednesday & Friday - Lifting

 

Olympic lifting, squating and functional movements are the basis of our lifting schedule.  The athlete is developing Core strength from center out and developing various body movement patterns.  While developing power, strength and speed of movement.

 
 

       

           

Tuesdays & Thursdays -Skill performance drills

These drills will provide the athlete the needed skills to improve technical and transitional movements to help improve balance, posture, flexibility and stability.  As well increase acceleration, deceleration, change of direction and re-aceleration.
